Pharmacuetical Sales Rep - Why Pharmaceutical Representative is needed now more than ever?
I do not want to get dramatic about this, but after spending a decade of my life to serve the
Pharma Industry Pharma as sales representative and then as Head of Business for one of
largest pharmaceutical companies in the world, I personally think that Pharma sales manager job
need more than ever.
Why?
Here are my top reasons to say ...
1. Speedy updates.
I still remember vividly the moment when Vioxx was withdrawn from the market. Be selling
Responsible at that time, I would like to inform all my customers, especially those based
to some remote area development.
The news could not reach them there. And they sometimes have too little time
the past, watching the news! With the power of the phone and dial, the more immediate
mobilization of the members of my team, each client to get updates on what's happening.
More importantly, end users and patients, also learned the news from our
customers faster. Same goes if there were no reports of studies, the next new drug
development, new business policies, etc.
2. More accurate representation.
Let's be honest about this ...
You just take the words of a pamphlet published more than words from a mortal?
What if life-saving touches like hypertension problems, management problems, diabetes, or
Depression? Do not you think that some mortal words fare better? Of course you do, and this is
because as part of their work, Pharma sales representative will visit clients, doctors,
Consultants, pharmacists and highlight the problem.
A visit by a Pharma sales representative will always get their attention. And this is a crucial step
to get the message down to the patients or end users.
A sales representative Pharma does a better job of mere brochure or newsletter every time.
3. Human touch.
At the end of the day, Doctors, Pharmacists, or related healthcare are human
be. And a human touch is certainly welcome.
In those days, when I was a Pharma sales rep me, vividly recalled the faces of my
GP customers with signs of relief during my visit. Well, things do not always go well for
so me and my clients. But at that moment, two human beings interact and show that
faces are more than just the titles.
In short, the top 3 reasons I have previously shared are the basis of why I see Pharmaceutical Sales
Job Rep is needed now more than ever. And it is here to stay, regardless of how the Pharma
Industry evolves.
