eBay - Using eBay ads to build lists and affiliate marketing
eBay ads represent less than 1 percent of all listings on eBay. These ads show up alongside regular auctions and only get exposure as an auction ads are normal except for a one time fee, final value at no charge, and runs for a minimum of 30 days.
In fact, if you still want to continue to sell eBooks on eBay, is the only format in which you can still sell eBooks. But eBay ads are still very much under the radar and not used to their full potential.
The 2 best uses eBay ads are internet marketing list building and / or affiliate marketing. However, the rules of what can be placed in an ad is very vague, but you can still have things in an ad that you can not have lists that use other formats.
For example, you can include links to sites outside of eBay with the item you have for sale, you can have an opt-in box in your ad to build your list, and you can often get away with having your e-mail in an ad listing.
Like everything on eBay, this is a numbers game. Obviously the point of view the ad receives, more opt-in and / or sales will.
So the most important part of your ad is your headline. If people are not searching for keywords that are in the title, it is likely that people are not going to find your ad or not many people anyway.
Another thing to consider with your title is how popular are the key words in the title are: a sense there are a large number of people looking for that keyword or a small number. One way to find out what keywords are popular on eBay is to check eBay pulse.
EBay Pulse tells you what the most popular searches are on eBay. But something I like even better is the pulse eBay site auctioncloud.com. Although not as up-to-date eBay Pulse this site goes into more detail about the most popular search terms on eBay.
EBay listings with the number of people viewing your ads is very important to use the information from eBay and wrist 'Auction Cloud' may give you ideas of what you need to have the title.
But to be sure how many people could potentially see your ad you should check out some ads just completed with the keyword (s) in the title. A lot of ads will expire 7 days of auctions, but some of those seen by checking how many completed auctions and get by multiplying the number of views for 4 (4 weeks in a month, the ads are 30 days) you get a vague idea of how many see your ad will get.
Ideally you want your ad on eBay for a few hundred views in a month, but an announcement of eBay can still be successful even if it does not get a lot 'of views in the course of a month.
Real life example:
A guy named Warren has decided to promote the 'Fat Loss 4 Idiots "a product with ClickBank eBay classified ad with 5 tips to" maximize your weight loss goals "and an opt-in box that offered a FREE trial 2-week diary diet tips if you signed up. Here are his results with the announcement:
- 29 people selected
- 6 sales
Total commissions earned: $ 207.18
At 30 days at $ 9.95 ads not including extras, such as subtitle, bold, border, etc. There are 60 days, 90 days and 180 days of eBay listings, but its recommended to verify the results with the first 30 days spots.
Also, something that gives you a competitive advantage with the eBay listing is when you can find keywords to be included in the title of your eBay listing, which receives a lot of research, then, eventually, get lots of points of view, but the key words in which there are not many results, anything with less than 100 results is great.
In conclusion, eBay classifieds are a great way for internet marketers to build their list (s) and promote affiliate products, but before we do do some 'research and then try to use an eBay classified ad .......
